Lion Helen’s report is below.
While not a project of Balgowlah Lions Club, Lion Helen enjoys spending her spare hours knitting squares for local organisation “Wrap with Love Inc” which supplies wraps, quilts and other similar items for distribution to needy people and people suffering the effects of cold and trauma in Australia and worldwide.
Wrap with Love is run entirely by volunteers, and receives no government funding. Wraps cannot be bought, sold, raffled or traded.
Wrap with Love is non-denominational, non-racist and non-political.
The organisation relies on donations of crafted goods, cash, craft and packaging supplies, transport and other services.
Wrap with love aims to provide information to, and co-ordinate offers of, the many thousands of craft workers who donate completed wraps and squares.
