The Lions Eye Institute , which is celebrating 40 outstanding years of eye care and medical research this year, have purchased a state-of-the-art stem cell robot thanks to Telethon7 Perth and Rhonda Wyllie.
This robot is the first of its kind in Western Australia and the only hope for children like Eamon 
The Lions Eye Institute researchers believe they can find a cure for this debilitating condition known as Usher syndrome, a rare genetic disorder resulting in hearing loss and visual impairment.
