Lions Club of Balgowlah welcomes applications for membership who are community-service minded.
We are a club of 16 members, made up of four women and 12 men. You will see our activities on Lions Club of Balgowlah website, and facebook.
We work on fund raising projects Sydney northern beaches, and assist One Meal each week cooking meat for disadvantaged people who are registered. This is a free service. All food is provided by One Meal.
We have dinner meetings every two months at Club Totem Balgowlah to develop friendships, and bi-monthly socials. Occasionally we have guest speakers on a wide range of topics.
We raise a lot of funds from our barbecues: once a month at Bunnings Balgowlah, and once a month at Terrey Hills Christian School. We work there to raise funds for Bear Cottage. Cure Brain Cancer. Also for Lions charitable beneficiaries.
We hope to hear from you. Membership is by application. Members pay an annual fee of $140.00 . This allows our club to give 100% of funds raised to beneficiaries!
