Our Lions and Leo members here in District 201N5, creating miracles through service, undertaking various service and fundraising projects that change the lives of those that will derive benefit.
Our District comprises of just over 70 Lions Clubs along with 10 Leo Clubs. We cover approximately 70% of Sydney along with our 2 Lions Clubs and 1 Leo Club on Norfolk Island. We have a membership base of just over 1,500 and are always seeking the talents and contribution of new members to enhance our service profile to the communities we proudly serve.
Lions have been the backbone to many wonderful projects that you might know of. Lions were heavily involved with the initial implementation and funding of Bear Cottage, we provided vital funding to research the Gardasil Vaccine and were instrumental into supporting the late Professor Fred Hollows and his team in the treatment of patients with preventable River Blindness to name a few.
As a member of Lions District 201N5, you will experience a number of personal benefits including leadership skills, a sense of self-worth and purpose, business skills, networking opportunities and lifelong friendships.
We assist with local community fundraising for special causes and help with the development and building of local parks, community venues, and sporting centres and also assist those most vulnerable in our communities with the support of various Lions Foundations.
